360 Panorama (Swipe to Explore) by ATMOS.PH
Picture yourself in a room full of artworks, different medium, different themes and different tones. You stand there basking in the creativity of 162 artists who were able to bring their imagination into a 12 x 12 inches piece of reality, and share it to an audience in the hopes of creating a collective effervescence.
In sociology and psychology, collective effervescence is described as the phenomenon that is created when the society simultaneously communicates on the same thought and action. It is also said that a collective effervescence excites and unifies a group.
If you stand in the middle of the FDCP Iloilo Cinematheque alone except for the 273 artworks staring into your soul, you will experience collective effervescence despite the absence of any direct human interaction. There is communication without words, and it creates a strange and deeper connection. You don’t know who these artists are but you sure know where they are coming from.
Collective Effervescence is an art exhibit organized by the Iloilo Visual Arts Collective and it aims to gather artists together and strengthen the Iloilo art community. It features the works of various artists, including established artists, art students from different universities in the city, rising artists and even art enthusiasts. The exhibit will run until 20th of October 2015.
